I'm a fan of woodchips because it makes it easier to clean up poop. There are a few trees that can provide some shade. Low traffic but also the big dog pen is smaller than preferred. Biggest downside is that the water fountains don't work.

Spectacular times are to be had here. All the dogs who come here are sweet and the people even sweeter. There is plenty of room and even water and bowls in the spring and summer. Everyone respects the unspoken rules such as picking up after the dogs and ensuring no rough play. Plus when your done there is a beautiful nature walk you and your fury friend can go on, you both will be walked by nature in all its beauty. This is s great dog and human park to walk and enjoy the world in.

Great dog park located in the Emory area. A little weird that the large dog park is smaller than the small dog area, but its not usually overcrowded for it to be an issue. All wood chips for those who prefer grass. Particularly love that right behind the park is access to trails and a creek. My pup loves splashing around the water!nUPDATE: Dekalb County just did some maintenance, and in the process switched the large and small dog park signs. Now the bigger park is for larger dogs. :)

It was a pretty good park. However, I would have liked it to have grass rather than wood chips. Other than that, it was good. I like the fact that there is a separation for small dogs and big dogs, since my border collie puppy is still small and won't get trampled by the bigger dog breeds.

The creek behind the fenced in park was very smelly. Smells of sulfur which is a by product of some sort of bacteria. Still a hoot for water loving dogs. We hosed and showered straight afterwards. It didn’t smell 3 years ago. Hmmm.
