Gladys Morgan Waddell Park

This is very small but beautiful park tucked into a great old Decatur neighborhood. The park is named after my grandmother, a longtime resident of the neighborhood, and there is bench in the park that bears a plaque honoring my mother Kitty Waddell Chesnut, who grew up there. There is a book lending box next to the bench, and it's a great place to sit in the shade of the old trees and enjoy the day. The park has stairs that descend down into the ravine and there's a short path through the bottom. It's a special place for the neighbors and my family,
