Life Savers. My son was doing TERRIBLE at other schools. This school is no nonsense, and really strict. No cell phones allowed. Now he will graduate. I cant thank them enough.

Dropped my granddaughter off for the 1st time and the 2 ladies in the office had such a nice disposition. I understand now why she's happy with the environment at the school

I attended in 96, 97 and maybe in 98 as well. I was going back and forth between divorced parents in different states. School was hard for me, not because of the academics, as I was on honor roll at one school but failing at another, it was hard because each school is structured in ways that students acclimate to, Sequoyah (my CrossRoads/Ace home base school) was difficult for me as there was always a TON of homework and notes that had to be taken during class, things to keep up with, and if you have any sort of attention problem, regular high school can be tough. My other school in Ohio was NOT like that and they even had study hall periods to break the day up and give students time to soak material in or do homework. I liked CrossRoads because it was work at your own pace. Some things were harder for me to grasp, such as algebra, and some things were easy, such as government and lit. Working at your own pace means that more time can be taken to learn things that are harder for some folks, learn it the right way, rather than half-booty learn it, move on to the next thing, and then have to go back and study the same topics again when a midterm/final comes up. I think more schools should adopt the way CrossRoads/Ace work with their students. It makes school less stressful, in turn you get happier students and less bullying/crime. Kids can be proud of the work they do when going to CrossRoads, as rather than bringing home F's, they can really LEARN the material and bring home A's and potentially graduate when there was no hope before. Unfortunately I got kicked out of my mother's home for getting into an argument with my younger sister, so I was not able to finish my high school career at CrossRoads. I had to move away after that, BUT, the staff there restored my faith in myself and I eventually went on to college and have a great position with a company that I've been with for the last 6 years.

I was two and a half years behind in school before coming to ace. This amazing school gave me the chance to not only finish school, they also worked with me the whole way through. The learning is much less structured than other schools. Which may sound bad, but every single student works at their own pace. The teachers there help as needed/requested. As for the teachers themselves, theyre amazing people. Each & every one of them. Theyre passionate about their jobs, and treat every student fairly. The principle is an amazing man as well. He may be a tough guy when youre in trouble, but deep down, he has a heart of gold. He cares about wach student, and the school itself.
