I have been eating here off and on since they opened. And from being from Bremen I have ate at every restaurant in the town and the surrounding counties. We had ordered our food and then I went back to order an appetizer. My order numbers were 68 and 69. I heard every order called out before and after the fact. We were almost finished with our entrees and my wife goes up to check on the food order 69. They said it was called and in no certain way were saying she was wrong. I heard no order called and can hear the staff say, “where does this order go?”.nnIf you want to announce an order you go into the dining area and announce it, not just walk around aimlessly. I won’t be back after this and will settle for the microcosm of other restaurants in the area. Maybe having some sort of expediter and trained restaurant staff would solve this.
I'm sorry but they had to have bought some of these 5 star reviews or made fake profiles for them.nFood was not fresh we couldn't even eat it.nIf people keep telling you that your coleslaw taste like it is gone bad then you might want to change your recipe.
It is awesome! Great wings good barbecue good Brunswick stew good salad bar I'm doing a review
Wonderful grilled chicken sandwich! We had a slight issue with our order which was quickly resolved! Thank y'all for such wonderful service in such a nice atmosphere! Kudos!
A foreword: we will be giving this another go in the future. A lot of our experience this evening was a result of our first five minutes in the door. Our confusion+confused cashier=rough start.nnThe atmosphere at walk-in is inviting and the folks are friendly. We absolutely loved that. It adds so much to a dining experience to know that you're supporting a business that values their customers. My kids spotted the train out front from the back of the parking lot, so they have something unique to set them apart and make them memorable.nnNow the ordering windows are the first thing you come to. There aren't signs telling you this, so you kind of just stand around awkwardly observing people until you figure out which window while reading the menu on the wall. That said, you have to order your food cafeteria-style and then sit down somewhere. They bring your food to you when it's ready, but everything else is very cafeteria-esque. We sat near a large party in the front section that was through the double glass doors. The seating area had the very welcoming, down home feel that my family and I are accustomed to in a BBQ place. Our order was wrong, but we didn't realize it until the food came, so we had to go back to the window, order what was left off, and then wait for it to be prepared.nnThe fries were great. I don't usually like fries cut with the skin still there, but these were really good. I couldn't quite place what they sprinkled on them, but it was a pleasant combination. I ordered two barbecue sandwiches (as I always do at BBQ places). The meat was chopped, not pulled and a bit on the dry side, like the dry and firm side. There was plenty of sauce on the table to mitigate it, but I do prefer barbecue that has a soft, supple texture with a smoky flavor. I prefer vinegar sauce typically, but the sweet also had a zing to it that I could appreciate. My husband had the trainwreck hotdogs and stated that they were probably of the Nathan's variety and said that they were fantastic.nnOverall, I can't complain. I want to say our issues were extremely minor and I'm almost certain they were a fluke. We'll be better prepared on our next trip so it will be less awkwardness on arrival. A sign or two with simple directions for new folks wouldn't hurt. I will update after visit number two.
