Old Peachtree Montessori School is the perfect fit for our Grandson Lennon who didn't fit into the standard mold required by some schools. Lennon is very active and loves to learn and found a traditional classroom setting to restrictive for his active nature. Lennon found that getting one on one lessons on a topic and then being able to pursue each lesson's materials at his own pace made sense. Some days he wants to do numbers while other days he wants to make music. At 4 years old being able to do what he likes best each day allowed him to expand his world at a much faster pace than the group sessions of traditional schools. Lennon and we love this school and I believe it is the best method available to parents in the Barrow / Gwinnett area.

This school is absolutely great. My son was in GCPS system 5th grade and couldn't connect with his Language Arts teacher in the subject of reading. I took a tour, then they allowed my son to attend 2 full days prior to committing to see how well he would fit into their curriculum and it was a perfect match. His reading level has improved, his writing and presentation skills are much better. They have a research project due monthly and this has seriously helped my child advance in reading, writing, and speaking. They work with each child on an individual level because everyone is unique and I am honestly grateful that I found this school. My son has his confidence back and he has new friends. The nice perk is next year he'll have the same teacher and I am used to her teaching style and homework format. The staff is very wonderful. If you visit this school once before and didn't give it a shot because something seemed weird or fishy to you, I challenge you to allow your child to attend for a day to give it a trial run and you'll be amazed. These kids are so advanced in Mathematics, Science. They even offer an after school STEM program that is impressive. They take the kids once a month on an educational field trip and tie it in with their current studies. Don't judge a book by it's cover because this is a hidden gem!

I have been with the school for 19 years. As a teacher and also as a parent. My daughter is now 12 and I could not have asked for a better school for her to have spent her life, or a better work environment for myself. So often I hear parents say they wish they came to visit the school sooner. I would recommend giving them a call!

Worse private school I've visited for my child to attend. Very secretive and something fishy about it.
