I LOVE this Mom & Pop place! The most authentic, truly Southern side dishes I've run across in years. Perfect cornmeal crusted fried okra, just like my ex's grandmother's who was from Blue Ridge Ga. The green beans are beyond belief. Really really great mac and cheese. Great Brunswick stew, the real thing. Homemade banana pudding is the best I've ever had: not overly sweet, and they use real whipped cream (of course!).nThe fatty brisket is stellar!!!! Their understated homemade (not just boring ketchup-based) sauces perfectly complement the smokiness of their meat(s). TIP: We've all eaten millions of chicken wings in our lives. Wings are offered on Saturdays only. These giant, plump, juicy, perfectly-smoked wings are truly the best I've ever had in my entire life. You can thank me later.

Fast paced walk in with seating for about 20 people 4 groups of 5 and to go bbq By the Plate or by the pound. Brisket is insanely tender great smoke flavor and nice wide plank slices. Customer service is on point You are cheerfully greeted when you walk in They take your order fast and you can tell they put Pride even in their presentation. I’m sure it gets packed closer to 630 or seven but at five you can get in and out in 25 minutes. As one order is placed two people walk in so get there early. The corn casserole could be eaten by the pan full. Yummy yummy!

Well I remember when fat caps only did catering and how great their barbecue was as well as all of their sides they offer. Finally got a chance to get over there while they're open which isn't often. Parking is very limited and tough. They opened at 5, I arrived there at 5:15 waited behind seven people in line to order for 33 minutes, then they're out of ribs 45 minutes after opening so I order two dozen smoked wings and a pound of pulled pork. About 50 bucks. Waited another 38 minutes. Never had their wings just know they were advertised as smoked. These were fried wings rolled in a dry rub that was full of sugar. Not worth the wait for me considering Moonie's Texas BBQ is about the same distance in the other direction, flowery branch. Had better dry rubbed wings at Sonny's BBQ of all places about a week ago...

This is the most amazing BBQ around!!!! The price is perfect!!! The staff are incredibly sweet as well!! My hubby and I usually talk during dinner. This food is so amazing that we have just sat in silence eating with huge grins on our face!!! This will be a regular place we will be coming!!!!

Best Brunswick Stew around! First time trying Fat Cap Bbq we ordered one of the family packs for us to eat at home. We had the mac&cheese, baked beans, biscuits and pulled pork. Then I added Brunswick stew and fried okra. Everything was great. I will say though, the bbq pork is bland without sauce. But the okra is so crispy and good. I do not like soggy okra that most places serve. Point is, I recommend you to go give them a try. I don't think that you will be disappointed.
