Got hit with a $700 water bill because homeless people hooked a hose up to my outside faucet and let it run and never turned it off. So... I'M -$1000 IN MY BANK NOW!!!

I pay my bill in person every month just to go down there and see the people in the office they are awesome. I've only been here 2 years in Deland and they are so helpful on letting me learn about my new town and what goes on.

My bill was due on the 21st and I have been working out of state and realized my bill was overdue by 4 days. Went and got a prepaid card and went online to pay it and come to find out they don't take American Express so I tried calling but of course they have it so you can't talk with no one so you have to leave a message and of course you don't get a call back. I called 3 different times and again no call back. They added a $50 late fee and shut my water off on the 27th. I've been a customer for over 5 years never been late on a bill and this is how I get treated. They do whatever they want because they are the only company around. Something should be done with companies like this. Should be regulations in place to protect the consumer. Worst company because they have no skills in customer service and definitely have no heart!!

A customer for 8 years with no problems. A neighbor several houses away found a notice on their house for disconnect at my address and walked it to us. My account shows current payment with trans# and code#. Check my bank and there is no withdrawal. So I use a credit card and put a payment of the bill again plus the additional 25.00, it is a weekend and I can’t talk to anyone and notice says water will be turned off Monday. Called the city and this is normal procedure. If I had put in a wrong number then why did the website show a payment? It should have been kicked out. Then I would have corrected the information. The 25.00 extranwent to City of Deland.
