Alaqua Lakes KinderCare

My 11 month old started in August at Alaqua Lakes KinderCare and we immediately fell in love with the facility and staff. The Director Rachel is AMAZING and keeps you in the loop with everything that goes on with your child. The staff cares and loves for your child as if they were their own. We LOVE our KinderCare family!!!

Not sure how somebody gave this place a 5-star review a month ago when the center doesn't even open for another 3 months. This 1-star rating applies to KinderCare corporation. We are currently enrolled in a KinderCare nearby and all were given a notice that it will be closing down. Not a big deal, but the new center (Alaqua Lakes KinderCare) won't be open until 6 WEEKS after ours closes! They have put a massive burden on all of the families that are currently enrolled. We have contacted the corporation for assistance. Their response has been very disappointing and unappreciative of the situation.nnThe staff at the center have been wonderful (would give them a 5 star). They have been doing everything they can to help us. They have also been put in this terrible situation and are unfortunately getting the brunt of the families frustrations...which they shouldn't because this was out of their control.nnWe/our kids love the staff there, but know that if you pick a KinderCare (also Rainbow and anybody else they might own), it is very much the business first and they have no sympathy turning your world upside down.

I really wanted to give 5 stars... KinderCare was a wonderful daycare for my 3 year old son! They decided to close down the center on Lake Mary blvd because this new one was built and won’t accept my son because we have 4C! As a single parent, just finishing school and still not making enough to cover a week of daycare, it helped out!! Ms Michelle, Ms Erin and all the lovely ladies at the KinderCare did so well with my son and he has learned so much. This was such an inconvenience because my son isn’t adjusting to a daycare I had to transfer him to and cries for Ms Michelle everyday! I talked to the district leader and all she could say is “I’m sorry” not caring that I’m missing out on work and on the verge of losing my job because I’m missing work since my son isn’t adjusting to the new day. I am struggling for childcare right now ALL because KinderCare closed our center down and said “oh I’m sorry! The new center is nice and shiney and we closed the old one because it wasn’t looking good on the outside!” I am so frustrated with how this went down. As a parent, I’m so disappointed and I’m still looking for childcare because of the inconvenience KinderCare gave us with this closing.
