StarChild Academy Lake Mary

I am little disappointed in the communication at this place. Management seems very disgruntled. I did not like that kids were constantly combined and the rotation of teachers. I was assured that would not be a issue especially during Covid. New teachers are not introduced to parents properly. There is never a letter/notice that a teacher will no longer be there and it always seems to be understaffed. I will say that the place is very clean and the teachers are wonderful but they need to make some improvements.

Starchild Academy Lake Mary is a very transparent and well managed school/daycare. My son originally started with Ladybird Academy in Winter Springs as an infant. But I immediately transferred him to this Starchild location after speaking with other parents who recommended this location. My son has been with Starchild Academy Lake Mary from the infant room and is now attending as a Kindergartener. So for 5 years I can honestly say I have really enjoyed not only the management team but all of my son's teachers who have helped nourish his amazing academic development. Even after he completed his pre-K years and I had the option to send him to public school for free, my husband and I chose to keep him enrolled at this location based on his academic development. Trust me I don't necessarily want to pay the tuition but I know keeping him here is for the best. We intend to keep him enrolled as a student until he reaches the last grade this location offers ...which I believe is 5th grade.

It is almost impossible to communicate with anyone from this daycare/academy! When you do speak to someone, they to not seem to care one bit. We have been extremely disappointed with this facility.

Our child is learning more, faster than any kid his age, or year older, relative to other private/public schools. Thank you.

I absolutely love Star Child! Both my boys attend the academy, however my oldest is autistic (high functioning) and we decided to try their summer camp. I was completely nervous with him being over stimulated, but I knew he was ready to be around other kids, due to the progress he's shown in the last 6 months. He's on his 3rd week with them and the staff has been absolutely amazing. His trigger is loud sounds and the team has allowed me to pack his special headphones, which have helped him 100%. Ms. Lauren is THE BEST! Ms. Natalie is absolutely amazing! She has the personality of an angel and it draws the kids to her. She handles them well, very animated and friendly while interacting with the children. I am so pleased with their professionalism, the updates provided, the attention applied to all the children, activities planned for the program are AWESOME and more! I can keep going on about how great they are but I had to make sure they were publicly recognized for their hard work, amazing personalities, stellar professionalism and incredible work ethnic. I highly recommend Star Child if you want the best for you little one. There is another lady with glasses that is great too! I am so sorry for forgetting her name but she is great with the kids as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
