I love this school. Teachers care about your success and progress. The school is very challenging ,but people come together to work out their problems. Most students do not care about their academics ,but we are provided with a lot of great programs that enhance our learning skills.I thank the counselor because they do a awesome job assisting pupils with simple or complex problems. Horrible school.nSome of the staff do not care about teaching the students, only getting through the curriculum. They do not know how to control their own classes either. The staff treat “troubled” students differently and give them more leeway, leaving out the non-troubled students out. Teachers have tried to fight students, students have also engaged in sexual acts on campus. There’s also sexual harassment.nIt was my freshman year and it was the most miserable, traumatizing year I’ve ever dealt with. Waking up in the morning scared to go to school because you don’t feel safe is something no student wants.nIf you have no choice but to send your kid to this school, make sure you communicate with them. Make sure you keep tabs on them and keep them in check.nIf you have other options for your child or yourself, make sure to consider them. Haines city is definitely not somewhere you want to be, it’s pretty on the outside but on the inside it’s bad.

Teachers are really nice, respectful, helpful. Very nice kids there. Never have been to a nicest school before. The principal is really cool and nice to be around with. You all would love it here (:

To start this school cause my daughters health problems, we moved to Florida from a very small town in New Hampshire my daughters were good students good kids never ever got into trouble, they were in this school for about for five maybe 6 months ,when one of the teachers supposedly so my daughters and their friends in the bathroom ,teacher said that the girls all of them were writing their initials on the bathroom walls, long story short police was called in and my daughters went to jai,l for writing their initials as big as an ant on the walls ,now my daughters were 15 and 16 years old who does that send some kids to jail for writing on the wall, now I'm not saying that was okay for them to do this but it should have been handled different way they never looked at my daughter's past or records and seen that my daughters just move there with good grades being good kids and just send them to jail for that they could have had them paint the wall or something but jail time come on .now I talked to the principal back then it was a lady this happened a long time ago and she said that the police was the one that took them to jail and I talked to the police and they said that the principal wanted them in jail it was like a game it was very stupid, disturbing ,sad,and I was very disappointed of moving into this city I asked the principal for pictures of what happened I never got pictures I never got a call they only send my daughters to jail so I had to go pick my daughter's up in jail. after that they weren't allowed in that school so they were sent to a worse school , there they got bullied I took them out of that school and put them in a alternative school where they we're better graduated from that school. I have to tell you I had to drive them very far but I did not care I wanted them to graduate. My daughters are older now they graduated from high school and college but since then they've been suffering from anxiety which they take medication and depression I should have taken legal action against the school but that's another issue with that being said I hope you think twice before putting your child that is so precious to you in this school unless they have better staff now.

Went to the school a few days for testing, I've been to a lot of different schools around Polk County and this one has been the best experience. The teachers were all really nice and the students are just as any high school would be . I felt really good about going to this school. The only reason that some one would say that it is a really bad school would probably be because they got in trouble. :)
