Sorrento House

Full disclosure: I grew up eating lots of Italian food and, thus, am generally critical of any restaurant’s attempt at beating my grandmother’s lasagna. In fact, I expected Sorrento House to be little more than an off-brand Olive Garden. Mama Mia, was I wrong.nnThe second I stepped through the pearly gates of Sorrento House, I was round-housed in the most gentle way by a light, warm atmosphere bolstered on by the lighting, music, and decorative choices. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza in an attempt to thoroughly test the “Italian-American” fusion that the restaurant touts on their website. One bite and the love-child of Sylvester Stallone and a bald-eagle whisked me off to Happy Gilmore’s happy place, complete with garlic bread and impeccably prepared martinis.nnI woke up nearly 45 minutes later in a cold sweat. The entire 14” pizza was gone and my head was placed on a down pillow. The waitress kindly passed me the check (a very reasonably priced check, at that) and, sadly, my experience came to an end. I haven’t been able to sleep, knowing that each night Sorrento House offers incredible deals such as two-for-one pizzas and half-off martinis. I am convinced that my life started the day I stepped foot into this restaurant and there is not an item on the menu I haven’t tried in subsequent visits.nnDo yourself a favor and join the Sorrento House team any night of the week. You won’t be disappointed.

Entree was ok too much salt on the lasagna. Too spicy on the kids sphagetti. The garlic bread did not taste like garlic bread. Tasted like bread with a lot of salt. And what they charge for the cheesecake I was expecting a regular size slice it wasn't its smaller than my finger.

This was one of our favorite restaurants! We just tried to place a call in order for 8 people only to find out most of the items we wanted to order have been taken off of the menu. Two of those most loved items was the eggplant appetizer and the rose pasta sauce. Now I have a group of 8 people looking for a new favorite place to go as we will not be back based on the new menu offerings. Super disappointed!

They changed their menu. They no longer have the spicy poppers, the cheesy chicken lasagna and angel hair pasta. The garlic bread is smaller and not as buttery. Garlic bread used to come with the entrees, but now they serve warm bread rolls, or something like that. We never got ours. Since we can't get our favorites anymore, we will not be returning. We were hugely disappointed. Service was good.

Great place to chill on a Saturday night with a cocktail and the Grilled Caesar salad with grilled salmon or chicken! Best one I have had!
