I went on this trail with my boyfriend June of 2020. The weather was great, and it was very easy to paddle through the tunnels. Mosquitoes would have been an issue if we didn't have bug spray. There were plenty of little obstacles, but this trail felt primitive and very remote. We saw no one pass us the whole time we were there, and we went through the entire route! It would be nice if it was marked that it looped back around to the marina. We left from the Dunedin Causeway, and it was a 4-hour round trip. I would recommend this to kayakers with experience or to those who don't mind going a little out of their way for an adventure.

This is an amazing kayaking adventure - self adventure that is! Be careful of the banana spiders and possible tree snakes! Mosquitos are present so have some OFF spray. Other than those things (lol), I have done this trail a dozen times and it is an wonderful experience for everyone each time. Photos as of Nov 2019.
