Just moved here from another state. I tried out this restaurant today and boy oh boy I wasn't disappointed. The food was great and you get large portions and did I mention the prices are low, but the quality is high. Can't wait to go back and try more of their many great options. No matter your budget this is a place you have to try. You can pick up or if you sit down it has a nice restaurant feel. By that I mean it seems based on the food and look of the place you'd be paying more, but they keep the prices reasonable. Well if you take my advise I may just see you around.
I’m a New Yorker in Florida, and the search for a good pizza is always a challenge. I have tried most places locally and struggled to find a place that is consistent. So, I decided to try Joey’s. Pizza was good. One of the better pizzas I’ve had around here. Salad was good as well. Sometimes a salad doesn’t travel well, but the food all tasted fresh. If I were you- give them a try. I am happy I did. I would absolutely come back. The prices are fair and so far the quality of the food was good as well. Will update review as needed.
Edit 04/09/2021: Ordered a pizza and some wings for pick up. Took close to 10 minutes before the attendant went to the kitchen and got my food. After the long wait, I grabbed my food and went home only to find I had someone else's food. Called three times because I was hung up on the first two times without talking to anyone. Finally got a Tyler to pick up the phone. He apologized, said he would credit the food I didn't get, and never did. Oh well, plenty of good pizza around. Maybe when Joey's gets their stuff together I'll return.nnTop notch Italian restaurant. The service was good, a bit mechanical but still good. The place was packed, impeccably clean, maybe a tad cramped. The bench seats up against the wall were not very comfortable. The star of the place is the food. Everything looked and tasted fresh, was very tasty and the portions are very generous. This may become my favorite neighborhood restaurant.
WAAAAYYY too many people. Folks came in to pick up takeout and stand at your table. Did not make folks wait outside. Literally standing a hands width away. Seated too many big parties as well. Families of 10, stay home. Food was great tho. They just need a safer system for pickup. Come in, give your name, go wait outside.
Some Italian restaurants serve good pizza and some Pizza restaurants serve good Italian food. Joey's is definitely in the first category. They are an Italian restaurant that makes good pizza. Have been there several times. The Chicken Parm is amazing, whether as a sub or as an entry. Salads are very fresh and the garlic rolls are incredible. As for the pizza, I will say this. It is massive, it smells amazing, and the toppings are plentiful. The only reason I dropped this rating from 5 stars to 4 was that the pizza sauce was so overly salty that my family and I could almost not eat it. We will order another pizza one night to try again and maybe I will change my review.
