As a park Amelia Earhart is a great park with lots of open areas and room to park and play.nnOne of the best trails to do mountain biking. Also people that like water skiing will enjoy the facilities.nnSoccer field need a lot of work. Most fields are in bad condition. Having said that, there are a lot of fields and usually there are tournaments on weekends or league games.nnOverall it is a nice park with lots of green areas.
i came here last year for the mother's day brunch. it was seriously the best treat i ever gave to the mothers in my family. we had food catered by patina group and the ambiance was just abs beautiful. i can spend the whole day here with my camera and not take a single bad picture.
A large section of the park was not accessable because of law enforcement blocking sections which was kind of disappointing. Majority of the park is not pet friendly, the area that is dog friendly is nice and well kept. Majority of our visit was time spent on the parks walking trail. It is a beautiful area and was well worth visiting. My biggest complaint would be that I felt unwanted and almost bullied by park staff and law enforcement being stopped for walking with a service dog. My disability is clearly visible and I walk with a cane and require the aid of my service dog. It's not uncommon to be poorly treated when in public, but I would have expected a park to be more accepting and not make me feel picked on. Overall, the experience was nice, a peaceful place that allowed us to escape the daily norm. I would highly recommend this park to any family interested in spending time walking.
Quite a few amenities but we were there for the Mt. Bike trails. Since I was last there in 2010 they have changed drastically. Now marked, I can't recognize any trails from before. They make good use of the few elevation areas they have. Good trail to check out and they have mt bike rentals on weekends.
Was there for the covid testing...although the line was long it was not slow, service was at a nice pace. I filled my gas tank for the anticipated long wait...packed snacks...don't drink too much water though.. No one gets out of the car, and I didn't see any local restrooms. There probably are restrooms at the park, I just didn't see any from the test site. I did the 2 tests (1 quick) (1 results w/in 3 -4 days - provides 98% accuracy). A military personnel will ask you which test you seek and tell you which line to drive up to. They insert the swab.
