We love the boat tour! We are locals in the area and we love taking those who come to visit us to dinner downtown and then on the sunset boat tour. It is always a nice time and a beautiful view!
This is a great little boat tour to take, especially if you want to get away a little and de-stress. Took sunset tour. Boat ride was about an hour and the driver and our tour guide were extremely friendly and kind people. Very acknowledge about Mount Dora and it history. Got some great pictures of Lake Dora while on the boat tour as well. :)
Four of us took a two hour tour. Overall, it was a very positive experience. The tour is really broken into three pieces – a run across the lake going as fast as the boat will go, an hour-long tour of the canal and the 30 minutes run across the lake back to the dock. We like being on the water so the trips to and back from the canal were nice. The canal itself was very interesting. We mostly saw birds and a few turtles. It would have been cool to see an alligator or something more exotic but that didn't happen. I was at the front of the boat so I did not hear our tour guide very well – it didn't bother me but if you're interested in what he or she has to say you may want to sit closer to him or her. We were comfortable and felt safe. Blankets were provided if you got cold. If you're in Mount Dora and you're looking for something to do I would recommend Rusty Anchor.
Captain Mike and certified Coast Guard guide Hank we’re awesome. What a beautiful boat ride, even the apple cider was good. I took the opportunity to propose to my girlfriend on this wonderful tour. Thank you Rusty anchor for a great time.
Really enjoyed it. We didn't have the best luck, it was cloudy and didn't really see sunset. But the ride was very relaxing and nice
