Lake Saunders RV Resort

We were lucky enough to get a spot on The Island and it was lovely! Staff member Dan was so nice and made sure we got settled in. We extended our stay twice and had no issues. If you’re looking for fancy and very upscale this might not be for you but we loved how homey it felt. Sites were clean with working hook ups and friendly, tidy neighbors. Great price and value, would stay here again.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Lake Saunders RV Resort. And to be clear, this review is about the short term camping here. There is a separate area for short term camping. The office staff were very nice. The site was okay. Definitely not the worst I’ve seen. No trees but hard packed dirt and the site was by the water. The big problem was with the electric (an open ground) and the attitude of the owner who had “wired the place himself” and hates electrical management systems (EMS) and doesn’t allow them in the park because they don’t work, and who told us that “better rigs than yours have camped here with no trouble “. We currently have a 2020 Winnebago View. When we told him that we wouldn’t plug in to bad electric, and they wouldn’t offer us any other site, we asked for a refund of our cash payment. They gave us a refund. We had planned to stay for 3 nights.

I've been living here since April, 2020. Excellent management and facilities with a beautiful view of Lake Saunders. Highly recommended!

Terrible place. I was supposed to stay two months but couldn’t stand it longer than one. Nosey people all around, there’s a lady that constantly sat in the courtyard staring at my trailer. Barking dogs constantly, people yelling all the time. And not to mention the way the owners treat their maintenance man. The owners could care less about the customers as long as they get their money. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
