Wilotree Park

Cool place, mostly caters to hang gliding and small airplane enthusiasts, but also allows others. It is a good place to park you RV for a few days no matter what brings you to the Groveland area. Management are friendly and accommodating, other campers are respectful, and the natural beauty of Central Florida is on full display.

If I could give six stars I would! It starts with Victoria the flight park manager, concierge, ground crew, site host, and all around great individual! The rooms are cute, clean and cold a/c! The flying is amazing, the best tug pilots, the safest tandem pilots and all around relaxing welcoming atmosphere!nnIf you want to learn to fly, do it here! If you want to experience free flight in a beautiful region of the country, do it here!nnIf you love camping, relaxing at the lake, and unplugging this is the place! Wilotree Park is a vast natural region in central Florida. It has a placid-glossy lake surrounded by slightly elevated marshland with formations of trees giving it a small forest appearance of a dome from above. The most unique feature is the Paradise Airsport airfield that hosts light-sport aircraft and ultralights, toes, rides and flying lessons. There is a clubhouse on the property that provides lodging, clean bathrooms, kitchen facilities, game room are with pool table and outdoor hammocks and multi deck picnic table eating areas. Visitors can camp all around this sizable property rich with plant and animal diversity. The entire community - staff and visitors - are good people. I came to learn how to fly an ultralight plane and watch the air trikes and hangliders.. I love spending time outdoors in natural settings in the pursuit of activities providing the most enjoyment. This place has it all, enjoy nature, friendly people, hang gliding rides and ultralight flights with the most expeience pilots, swim on the lake, swimming pool and many more adventures.
