Jim gave us an estimate for painting the exterior of our home in the fall of 2019 with a date to do the work in January 2020. During this busy time, he kept his word and our house looks beautiful! His crew was hard working, communicated well and NEAT! No drips of paint anywhere, clean lines and professional demeanor. The house was power washed extensively before hand. Thank you, Jim and crew. This has been a pleasant experience throughout the process.
This is probably my 4th or 5th time using Gratkowski painting since owning a place on Marco . Jim is a true professional and his staff always does a great job. We had a plumbing leak a few weekends ago and had to cut a few holes in the drywall to find the leak.nAfter repairing the leak I called Jim Gratkowski, he called me the right back , came over and gave me an estimate. His guy Victor showed up at 8am as promised , repaired and painted the drywall. His work was neat and top notch( you can't even tell there were 4 holes in the wall). I have found that finding responsive contractors here on Marco can be quite a challenge . Not only is Jim responsive , but his crews have always done a great job for me . I would highly recommend them.

We painted our house in Marco Island 4 years ago. I complained to Jim 2 years later about the color around the bottom of the house. He blamed it on the pest control and repainted the bottom with the left over paint. Within 6 months it looked exactly the same. I have complained to Sherwin Williams as well. Our house is not the color 4 years later that it started out to be. Very faded and yellowed. We are now in the process of repainting the house with Porter Paint. There is no comparison to the old color and the new color. In looking at the quote from Gratkowski there was much he quoted that he didn't do. We found many areas that were not even painted. It has been suggested to me by a home builder that he probably watered the paint, which explains why he was able to repaint the bottom without buying any new paint. The areas of the house that have never been touched by pest control are as badly faded as the areas that were. Poor Prep as well. You get what you pay for, his prices are cheap and that's what you get.
