My family lives in Miami but we have a place in Marco. We have visited the Smith House numerous times and sat in the terrace. We have always had the pleasure of having Earl serve us. The food is very good the ambiance in the terrace is very relaxing. However having Earl serve us was the highlight of the meals. Earl is so courteous, polite and friendly. He goes out of his was to deliver excellent service.nnIf you go dine at the Smith House ask for Earl, he will make your meal special.

We had a wonderful brunch at Smith House today. I had the classic eggs Benny and hubby had fish and chips. Both were outstanding. Service was great; the servers helped each other out. When our server was busy at another table, another one noticed that I needed a refill on my drink. We sat outside in an out of the way corner of the beautiful patio because we had our well behaved dog with us. I know that not everyone likes dogs, so it’s nice that we could enjoy our meal without worrying about that. The staff were kind to the dog and brought her water. They even put ice in it for her. The patio is nicely landscaped and decorated and provides shade from the hot Florida sun. The staff wore masks at all times and the tables were well spaced out, which I greatly appreciated. My only disappointment is that we didn’t go here sooner. We will definitely be making return visits.

I love this restaurant for breakfast, the food and setting make this my new favorite breakfast restaurant and a five star choice for breakfast. However, my recent dinner experience was more like 2 or 3 stars. The grouper sandwich was easily the least desirable grouper sandwich I have had on the island. All 4 in our party rated their dinner as average to below average. I hope it was just an off night. We will try again as we love the outdoor seating area.

Just returned from Easter brunch with my husband at the Smith House. First of all, the buffet was sparse at best. Honestly have had better free breakfast buffets at The Holiday Inn Express. The offerings did not include any juices, fruits, toast, or muffins. No coffee or tea included in the price. The most unsatisfying part of our experience was when the waitress (who was very pleasant and that's why a one star rating) brought the check. A 25% gratuity was automatically tacked onto the bill. This was not known in advance. For a buffet where you basically serve yourself, we found this to be unacceptable. Will not be returning to the Smith House nor recommending to anyone who lives on or visits Marco Island.

The atmosphere was nice, but right away neither of the hostesses wore their masks correctly- they sat right below their chins the whole night. The food took a while to get there, probably 45 minutes for 4 meals when the restaurant was half empty, but the appetizer was quick and tasted good. When we got our meals, they weren’t great. The lobster Mac and cheese is packed with really good lobster, but the Mac and cheese portion is pretty bad- it really tastes like fake cheese. The burger and coconut shrimp reviews from my family were good, and the fries were nice and crispy.
