There's plenty of hiking here. I hiked 6.5 miles, and there's plenty more. The trails are wide and well-blazed without much standing water, so biting insects are low for the area. There's not much shade, so I recommend cooler months or a cloudy day in warmer months. Fall and spring certainly promise to have much to see insofar as wildflowers, but I went in January and enjoyed my time.nnThe main trails are packed well enough for trail biking or equestrian, while side loops tend to have more sweet sand for a more strenuous hiking or running workout. Traffic was low, and I had a pleasant time to myself outdoors.

Widely cut trails through various hammocks provide little shade. Go on an overcast day. This is a place of subtle small treasures depending on the season. In fall, numerous flowering plant species and of course butterflies. Also, so many interesting fungus. Take your time here.
