The Village Steakhouse

The Village Steakhouse in Star City AR was amazing and definitely worth driving over an hour from Little Rock. I had the Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin and my wife had the Hamburger Steak. Have you ever eaten anything that was such a pleasant surprise that you just couldn't figure out how they seasoned it to make it so much better than what your expectations were? That was definitely our experience. I had the Grouper New Orleans last time. It was also wonderful. Make sure you ask for the house salad dressing. It's Bacon Garlic Ranch. We loved it! And the Pecan Praline Cheesecake was also delightful. Who knows? Perhaps next time we'll actually get a steak! :-)

Great place the food and service are the best around. My wife and I drive 2 hours one way to go here about once a year if that tells you how good it is. Hope to go here for many more years

The food was delicious as usual. We really enjoyed our dinner on last night. Although is really sad to see such an awesome steakhouse close its' doors, we truly understand.

My children and I visited this wonderful place for the last time yestersay! We are surely going to miss going to this place for as well as celebrating various occasions like birthdays and special events.

My wife and family go here every time we're in Star City. It's the best steak house in southeast Arkansas, by far. We're sure going to miss you, Layne!
