The Plaid Bear is a delightful store with great up north decor, bags, clothes, and more! I was so excited walking into the store as some Christmas decor was being stocked and I wanted everything. I bought a sign for Little St. Germain Lake as a housewarming gift along with a plaid shirt for myself. My husband was ready to buy every ornament in there. The owner is a wonderful lady with great taste and I look forward to visiting the shop every time I visit my parents' cabin (which will be a lot)! Despite a rather condescending previous review on Google, the owner did wear her mask properly at all times.
Adorable shop, and the owner is very cheerful and helpful. But please be careful visiting; the owner has been wearing her mask without covering her nose, which is the same as wearing no mask at all.nnI get it. Glasses and masks are a pain, and I spend my entire work day in both. Here's a tip: you can buy grooming tape on Amazon. It's a two-sided tape designed for anyone that wears a wig. I line the inside top of my mask with grooming tape, which greatly reduces my foggy lenses.
I have been visiting St Germain a few times a year for 65 yrs and am so happy to see a new gift shop, and one of such high quality. Great selection, VERY good prices, and I love plaid. Great job
