Blue Heron Restaurant

Great place and super friendly service. We stopped late for a drink at the bar and a quick bite. Ended up staying a while thanks to the wonderful bar tender/manager. She definitely made it a great and memorable stop. Hoping to come back next year for another snowmobile trip!

For those of you wanting to spend your money at a decent, local establishment, I highly suggest you look elsewhere other than the Blue Heron!nnIf you’d like to support a business that treats their employees like the dirt on the bottom on their shoe, then by all means, eat here!! If not, go elsewhere!! Kickback Grill is amazing, as is Sweetwater!! Both in close proximity to Wild Eagle Lodge!nnSadly, once ownership changed hands, things went downhill fast! Since the pandemic, they had zero communication with any of their employees, letting them know what was going on! Once pressured for an answer, regarding our jobs, some were told they no longer had one, one was asked to come back (and he didn’t if that’s any indication) and the others still haven’t heard anything at all! As the manager, I had more contact with my employees than the owner of the business and general manager of the lodge and I was completely in the dark! They’re so full of it that they’re telling condo owners that none of the employees wanted to return so they couldn’t reopen! Really?! ud83eudd14ud83eudd14ud83eudd14nnI later found out that they had my job posted online for over a month before they ever contacted me back, after multiple days of ignoring my texts and calls!nnI would like you to keep their unprofessionalism in mind, when deciding on a good place to spend your hard earned money!!nnOn a side note, The Wild Eagle Corner Store and Wild Eagle Lodge are both owned by the same owner of the Blue Heron! I would steer clear of spending a penny at any of their establishments!!

It is now a good place for a Hamburger, but is no longer a place with an extensive menu. I was disappointed. We have been going there for years and it is no longer on our list of places for dinner.

Just spent the last week in Eagle River, ate at the Blue Heron several times food and service was awesome. We strongly recommend the this place for a nice evening out with friends.

The new owner is not professional at all! He treats his employees like trash!!
