Captain Dave was very knowledgeable about fishing on Lake Michigan and made excellent choices to make it a memorable morning. When the fish were not biting, we moved to another location where we ended up pulling in 8 fish - five beautiful rainbow trout, and 3 king salmon. The captain and first mate made excellent conversation and it was just a fun morning. Time flies when you are having fun!

Yet another amazing fishing trip/experience for the books for my family and myself! Captain David and his crewman, Jake, have never let us down on catching some nice sized fish. Both my husband and I caught our biggest fish in our history of fishing tonight and we are beyond ecstatic. My in laws also caught their biggest fish charter fishing tonight, so it’s definitely a bitter sweet moment for all of us to take in! Couldn’t have asked for better company on the boat, better weather and fish on the lines. Definitely will be back for another outing this summer and years to come!

I have known Captain David for many years and he comes with the perfect personality for manning his own charter boat. But ultimately him and his first mate put us in fish. Our crew of 5 that joined Playing Hooky for a afternoon of fishing was not disappointed. All of us had several opportunities reeling in fish and we came home with a nice cooler full of fish. Thanks David and Chris for a perfect day of fishing. HIGHLY Recommended.

We had a great time. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the fish were biting. My family had a blast with Captain Dave and 1st mate Mitch! Great guys!! They worked hard to ensure we had a memorable experience. My 15 year old son reeled in a 10lb rainbow trout. Beautiful beast! We caught a few different kinds of fish. These guys took care of everything for us. We were with a large crowd and they got another boat. All had a great time!! I would highly recommend Playin Hooky! Dave truly is a genuine, laid back guy. Easy to talk too and a very knowledgeable fisherman. Thanks Captain Dave for a perfect day!

Shout out to captain Dave and first mate Jake these guys are very knowledgeable and personable. Spent Father’s Day morning fishing with them, had a great time. They got us in the fish and we put them in the cooler, truest enjoyed our trip on the playing hooky vessel great way to spend the day! Give them a call they will set you up for a fun day on the water. Thanks again guys.
