We love greenwood! We even tried switching to a closer school last year but quickly learned Greenwood is worth the drive! They have wonderful teachers and a director who obviously cares about all the kids and their families! She’s always at activities and outside visiting with students before and after school. What we love most about the school is their mindfulness program. It’s such an incredible life skill they are teaching our children that will help them in life at least as much as academics. I’m so so grateful for what my kids are learning. They love mindfulness with coach D so much and always look forward to it. In fact today my 9 year old told me he loves coach D and wouldn’t want to go to greenwood with out her. She’s making such a difference! So grateful to have a school that makes an investment in such a great program. We love greenwood!!

Greenwood is a fine school. Good staff, good values. However! They want every student to fit inside of normality. They want nobody to express special abilities, such as drawing in your free time. It seems this school doesn't try with behavior. If you're a bad student, instead of helping you, they will just say "use this sketchy medication" Or "withdraw your student." Even though the building looks bright and cheery, some of the stuff that goes on is dark and dreary. Such as the principal taking things away from kids forever. Young kids enjoy bringing toys, some expensive, and them getting taken away just because they wanted to show their friends a little Lego is quite terrible. They have all this hate against toys, yet do barely anything against bullying in classrooms. Such as a large group of "jock" Kids who are rude to other kids outside of their group for getting in their way! This group has never been in trouble, because they act fine around the teachers. So although many of their methods are out of date, and some even just bad, they are a good school, with good staff, and good values. I can recommend if you can get past all this stuff. 3 stars.

My boys absolutely love this school. We have been here since the beginning and am in awe of the wonderful things they get to experience like mindfulness, canoeing, backpacking, hands on math, science, reading and more. They love lunch and the salad bar is their favorite. So greatful for the wonderful teachers and staff at this school.

I have 3 kiddos here and all of them have been treated with love and total acceptance by staff.

They have great values, great staff, and are really actually a good school, but they don't do much in terms of behavior, although the teachers are new and I understand that, also I see a lot of kids being bullied, and sometimes the outside aides do nothing about it. It seems like they are trying, however. But some upper Grove kids and teens are loud, and sometimes don't stop talking, even when teachers punish them, but really, this is a good school, and if you don't like it, there are other options. Also the principal has some things they need to improve on, like maybe also monitor her kids, as sometimes it seems they get special privileges, and maybe not take things from kids forever, as that paints her in a bad light, like maybe for a day or even a week, but not forever on first sight, as kids will be kids. I understand bringing tots is bad, but that doesn't mean you take away something that may have costed a lot and never give them back.
