I'm not impressed with the service department. While in for a recall, multiple repairs were recommended. It is my guess from the information in the owners manual that the recommendations were based on mileage and their records (or from other dealerships) which is understandable. I knew many of the services were recently performed by myself or my mechanic, and I doubt very much that items listed were inspected. Granted that some cannot be reasonably inspected e.g. transmission fluid and filter. The engine air filter can be checked without tools, the coolant effectiveness can be tested in minutes, and the serpentine belt may be checked with a flashlight. I ignored the items that had been serviced and asked about a few of the others. I was told serpentine belt was frayed at the seam by the service tech. I decided to replace it myself for $26 in ten minutes rather than pay $100+. To my surprise the old belt had little sign of wear with hardly a transverse crack. They need to make money, but they lost my trust and business with a little lie. I have had bad experiences with dealership service departments and I was hoping this one would be different.

BUYER BEWARE! I had reviewed Wasatch Front Kia previously. I had issues after purchasing our Acadia. It wasn’t cleaned and we were charged a $400 “cleaning fee” and the A/C didn’t work right. After posting a negative review, I was contacted and asked if I would take down my review and they would have my car detailed and the A/C fixed. We scheduled an appointment and dropped off our Acadia. We left it there over half a day. We returned to pick it up. My husband asked where the leak was for the A/C, the service department said there was not one. They basically charged it to appease us and did not even look at it. Our A/C stopped working again just a few weeks later, not surprised. As far as cleaning it....well let’s just say I think they might have sprayed some deodorizer. I didn’t set them up for failure, but there were some gross gel caps that were stuck on the console - a reason I knew it was not cleaned the first time, nor the second. And shortly after we got it- the power steering started going out. I should have known better when I purchased it, but so should have they. Oh yeah, and they didn’t refund us the correct amount for service contract we purchased from them. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE! I can’t decide if the salesmen, Jerry Gallegos and Blake are dishonest in what they sell; if it’s the service department that are dishonest and lazy; or if it is this dealership as a whole. I am leaning towards the latter. Over all, I am disappointed in my overall experience. It’s actually making me hate my car.

Unhappy with mechanics and service dept! went in for a new sun roof motor -while that was being fixed they said the water pump had a hole, while fixing the water pump "they found several things were wrong oil pan was leaking, wrong bolts , bad engine, need a new transmission etc.. Everyday was some else was wrong (We never had one drop of oil or water) They said 2 days to "fix" the water pump 2 weeks later and 1500$- today when we went to pick it up - service dept said "there are so many things wrong with your car take it back to the car dealer where you bought it 4weeks ago and get your money back. You might need to get a lawyer" as we started our car to leave today there was a loud grinding noise (when we brought it in 2 weeks ago it was fine! No noises!! Only needed motor for the sun roof) service manager said "that noise is your transmission going out" Suspicious?!?! Yes!!! Very Unhappy ! Will report to the better business bureau

Very disappointed in Kia in Riverdale, UT. I won't be leasing from them again. They said they would take care of my lease turn in and then 3 months later I get a bill. Turned in a 2017 kia for a 2020 kia. I asked several times if it was OK to turn in early. Sales tech Cole assured me that there was no problem and he would take care of everything....now he says nothing he can do. He just wanted the sale. I Called the manager Brandon and he said he would call me back. Never called me back. Why in the hell would anyone make payments on a car that was turned in 3 months earlier. Thats double car payments. I would have waited.....duh.... not rocket science. "Oh....everything is fine. We will take care of everything" ....lied to my face.
