Just wanted to share our experience. We just dined at the ivory coast and our service was terrible. Our waitress disappeared for most of our meal. Never returned for refills. And my husband and I were celebrating Valentines day, we both wanted another alcoholic beverages. She brought our food out wrong, and when we asked for the correct toppings to our burgers, we had to wait until she delivered food to another table while our plates sat in front of us getting cold. They didn’t have ranch so I am now depressed.
We ordered six different meals, they were all cold. The pico Parfait was the same stale chips and leftovers that the hotel serves at the conferences during the day and everything was soggy. Our dips were all messed up, if we even got them (two were missing) and other additions to our meal that we requested/paid for were missing. Called to talk to someone and was passed on to the room service delivery guy, who isn’t responsible for this. There was was a delivery charge and service fee that totaled almost $10 extra for each of paying. We didn’t get any of our right food on our bills to turn in to work, which is vital. This was the worst experience we have had at the Kalahari which is unfortunate that it couldn’t be resolved professionally when we called. We spent a lot of money to be this dissatisfied. Will NEVER go back.
I see why this restaurant is never busy.
We came during happy hour and have multiple food allergies and sensitivities. Service was prompt, they listened and food was prepared exactly as we ordered with no problems or issues. Was tasty and reasonably priced given its in a resort. Overall great experience.
