Below average pizza, scarce with toppings, but tied into a very nice and friendly full service bar.

Good food, but infuriating slow delivery. 90-120 minutes is to be expected on weekends, and food is often cold. I understand they are obviously busy, but other places (both national chains and local operations like Grand Pizza) manage to get deliveries out in 30 minutes. Something is wrong with their management, it shouldn’t be consistently this bad, but it is.nnUnless you are really craving the salty, greasy pizza that Carbones offers (not a bad thing), order from somewhere else for fresher food and better service.

We ordered a Monte Cristo and a Hot Dago sandwich for delivery. Each was accompanied with chips. The food was far below what we expected.nnEach sandwich was cold and very dry. Minimal sauce on toasted bread made each sandwich very, very difficult to eat. The small handful of stale chips were not worth eating.nnWe are not overly picky and rarely complain. That said, with so many now selecting take out or delivery this restaurant unfortunately does not have its act together.

I have to say, I've been looking for a good pizza joint since I moved up from Chicago. Other than driving to Giordano's or out to aurelios, this is the closest to Chicago style pizza I've had in the past 2 years. Definitely recommend. The only downside is that the pizzas are relatively small for the price (the size of a large seems more like a medium from what I'm used to), but they're still worth it 110%.

When we come into town we have been to Carbones a few times. We have never had an issue with their thin crust pizza. Today we tried the deep dish and the crust was all dough. We couldn’t eat it unless we picked the cheese off.nWorst pizza I have had. I tried to upload a picture to this, but it wouldn’t paste it to the site.
