A&W Restaurant

The food was fresh, hot, and very good. As usual. However, the service was fantastic! An extremely pleasant young woman was taking care of the entire store, and doing a great job! The receipt said Stephanie. So if that was you Stephanie, keep up the great work!

Not super impressed with this A&W. But I wouldn't call it a horrible experience. First of all, I am a huge fan of automatic hand dryers. But in this case, there is no way to exit the restroom without touching the handle. So in this environment, I think an automatic paper towel dispenser would provide a safe way to avoid contamination. I actually had to go back and grab some toilet paper in order to exit without re-contaminating my hands. Anyway, I ordered two hot dogs and I asked for a lot of ketchup. No amount of ketchup is too much I said. They came back with less ketchup than I would have liked but I realized that no normal human being uses as much ketchup as I do, so my plan was just to go out to my car where I keep a bottle of ketchup on hand. I didn't complain and I didn't really have a problem. I was in no way rude or disrespectful to anyone. As I was getting up to walk out to my car, my server frantically questioned me about what I was doing, as if I wasn't going to pay for it. I assumed I was just going to pay at the cashier station because I figured that's what the cashier station was there for. There was a man at the cashier station and he asked if I had brought my receipt. I told him no it was on the table, but I could go grab it really quick. By this time the server was at the station, telling the man that the receipt was not on the table. ( if I hadn't brought it with me I don't know where it would have gone.) I found the experience really unsettling. She just gave off the vibe that she thought I was up to no good. There is an A&W where I live, and I will be happy to go there instead. On the positive side, the food in the float we're both very good.

Outdoor seating, 5 tables if I recall. Waitresses were very polite and on time. Order we placed was all correct. Overall very happy. Restrooms were open but Wisconsin mask law changed soon after our visit so not sure if they still are public.

Love their cheese curds! Food is great!
