Racine Family YMCA -Sealed Air Branch

The place is always poorly managed and no one seems to know what going on! The lifeguards are too busy doing their own thing not working the door like they are supposed to during these times and then scold you for coming in for swim lessons. They really need to get their act together, I don't think they realize people such as myself help pay their wages. With that being said the swim instructors have always been wonderful and very attentive.

Been working out here for a while, and during covid. Place is big enough to safely social distance while lifting weights. Not like other gyms where you feel like youre in a basement, you can look outside at the field where children are playing team games or out over the pool while you take a breather

If you’re using the daycare, I hope the staff member has some common sense.nWe’ve been going the last few weeks and have left my daughter’s jacket and diaper bag without any issue. Today I was completely caught off guard when the employeen1) Asked “has your daughter even been here before” just because she didn’t recognize her since this employee normally works days.n2) when I left her jacket this employee made a fuss when I was caught off guard about not being allowed to leave a jacket. There are signs posted which I never noticed but also never had an issue before. This employee gave me an attitude when I questioned why. I then left, with my daughter, because I didn’t trust this woman to watch my child after witnessing the attitude that came over her about a jacket. I was explained at the desk that the jacket rule is due to cubby space (although there are always plenty available in the early evening).nIf I see this staff member in the daycare any other time I plan to work out I will turn around and go back to my car rather than trust her. Her attitude escalated quickly over a jacket so I cannot imagine her taking care of a toddler.nnAll other staff at the daycare have been more than kind! Now that I am aware of the jacket rule I will happily oblige but will not at all leave my daughter under this specific workers care. They do not wear name tags in the daycare so I don’t know her name to warn others.

We absolutely love this location I almost don't even wanna write a review about it because it is kind of a quiet little Racine secret. Obviously the best deal of all is if you have a family membership although I'll tell you if you have more than 4 members the one day price really works out well and you can get in for the full day. We've never been there when the water slides are open but the mini rapid river, hot tub as well,as kid area works out really well. If your kids just enjoy swimming and are looking for time with the family. Worth the drive.

Everyone that loves to stay healthy should choose YMCA as the best place for wellness. The pressure behind going to the traditional gym can be overwhelming to most and here that pressure is non-existent. You don't have to lift weights to be in shape and the YMCA provides many other options. The biggest plus is that if you have children you can get them out of the house regardless of weather and keep them active.
