Signature Brides On-Location Hair & Make-up Artistry

After having a few setbacks and multiple cancellations from other "professionals" in SLC, I finally contacted Signature Brides for a last-minute hair and makeup for my new professional author photos (coming soon...) Signature Bride's reply was instantaneous, their professionalism was outstanding, and they were careful to pair me with a professional who could capture the "look" I was trying to get, but don't have the skill-set OR the steady hands to pull off. They tailored everything to what I needed and listened to me. That's a huge deal, right there. I was worried--I mean, I'm hardly a young bride. So, it's tough when you're an older woman and you want to look your best, but really dislike the plastic, overly made-up look that's obviously trying to fool the camera into giving a youthful appearance. I wanted to look like me, all 51 years of me, but also feel my best. Stacie was quick to respond, and my artist, Meredith, just killed it. I felt so lovely--and I looked like me, naturally, and was able to let my personality and inner beauty--the best parts of who I am, IMO--shine for the photographer because of that. Really, whatever issues with response time they've had in the past has clearly been remedied, and they were extremely flexible when another person cancelled last minute, and I had to re-schedule with them right in the middle of all the booking stuff. I can't even imagine being a nervous bride and dealing flaky artists in this area because feeling your best on such an important day really makes the whole thing so much easier. Needless to say, I can't recommend Signature Brides enough.

Loved getting my Hair and make-up done with Meredith. They were very courteous and helpful especially since my dates got moved around a little. It made my day so easy and stress free. Not to mention all the compliments I got. Highly recommend.

They were on point from the very beginning! Prices and expectations were clear and communicated. I'm giving 4 stars because I feel like I definitely overpaid. I mean... $250 for an hour and a half worth or work?! That's a pretty exorbitant fee. But, Mercedes, my MUA, was amazing! She was fun to chat with and was on time and did exactly what I asked for. She is too cute. I will definitely use her services again. All in all, it was a great experience using Signature Brides. They were helpful and responsive but I definitely could've gotten the same thing elsewhere for probably half as much.

Literally did NOT show up for our wedding hair and makeup appointment. The excuse was “we forgot to add you to the schedule.” DO NOT use this company if you actually want someone to actually show up on your wedding day

It was a pretty hard process to make an appointment with them in the first place. After my first trial I wasn't too happy about the results. Unfortunately I life in the Netherlands so I couldn't call them when I had to go home for a couple months. After coming back (a month and a half before the wedding) i tried to call them at least 10 times to cancel the appointment for the wedding day. No one ever answered.. finally I got hold of them and they asked for proof, after sending screenshots of my call log, they still wanted to charge me because I never left a voicemail with the reason why I called them.. (then you should answer the phone or make sure there's someone to answer the phone). They were saying we still had to pay 180 for our appointment, but "out of the kindness of their hearts" as they put it, I could cancel and only pay 50. The day before the wedding I got a text that something went wrong with the payment but I made it clear I still didn't want the hairdresser to come on my wedding day and that I had chosen a new stylist. But they didn't listen and showed up at my house the day of my wedding demanding payment! Saying it was our fault! That's no way I to run a good business I feel sorry for anyone who does business with them and I wish the reviews that are shown on their website were actually true. If I could give zero stars I would. Completely unprofessional, horrible to work with and overpriced.
