Best access to the North and South side of Taylor canyon. Parking is the only issue. Plenty of spaces on the street in front of people's houses, but they need a parking lot. Like the one on 29th. Just my opinion. Great trail options into the canyon and a side trail to the pond. Creek views (seasonal) and lots of shade. Well maintained.
We love this! There are several short, pretty hikes that kids will love and it even leads to a little pond and river they can play in. Best outdoor spot around.
Oh, we love this trail! Once you get far enough up there are offshoot trails that take you through trees so there is plenty of shade for a more relaxed hike. Go up 27th and watch for the Pond Trail. I believe this leads to what feeds the waterfall but I'm not 100% sure. No matter what it's worth it. Watch out for bee's.
It would be an easy five stars if it weren't for the creepy cop camera command center at the entrance.
Lovely hike! Beautiful the whole way and plenty of shade. A little more difficult, but the view from Malan's peak is worth it!
