We had initially gone to the winery across the street but ended up coming here & wow am I glad we did. Everyone was so sweet & informative. They listened to what we liked & hit everything right on the nose. The owner has amazing energy that radiates through the entire place. 10/10 recommend.
We visited Chiselled Grape Winery a few weeks ago on a recommendation from a friend and we were very glad that we made the hour and a half drive up to it. What we found was an extensive wine selection from around the world, a fabulous line of their own Sexy wines, and an owner that is not only deeply educated but wonderful to spend time having a tasting (or two) with. The wines are flavorful and layered leaving your palate pleased and best yet, no morning after headache found from many Wisconsin wineries. We enjoyed the wine and our time with the owner Allen and his delightful staff so much that we made the trek up north again this week to take part in the Wine and Chocolate pairing event that he hosted. We felt very lucky to be among the group that were able to participate and highly recommend that if anyone has a chance to purchase a ticket to any of Chiselled Grape Winery events, jump at the chance. It will be time well spent! Looking forward to another trip up in October, till then CHEERS!
My husband and I discovered this place 4 years ago, but as of last year it has been under new management. We went recently and had an amazing time. Allan and his staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wine selection. We did a Sexy tasting and an international tasting and it was so hard to find a favorite because they were all SO GOOD. (But seriously their Chenin and Merlot are amazing). If you like wines with body and a story that lingers, their selection is for you. They are a unique find in the world of flavored wines and delivered an excellent and generous tasting experience. I can’t wait to go back for their gold ticket event in late September!
The staff at Chiselled Grape is amazing! They are so friendly and knowledgeable. They were very busy the day we went, but we still had amazing service. We didn't feel rushed. The Sexy line of wines were all delicious. I highly recommend stopping here when you are in Cedarburg!
My husband and I stopped in for a tasting for the first time yesterday afternoon. The shop is cute and the ambiance was nice. Our server seemed to have a good amount of knowledge about the wines and the 3 wines we sampled had good flavor.nnOur experience while in the shop, however, was uncomfortable and chaotic. The staff seemed to be frantic, disorganized and overwhelmed. They were a little busy but not more than you'd think 4 servers could keep up with. Each time someone buys a bottle of wine, they ring this bell and shout, which is loud and unnerving. Not the relaxing environment we'd expect from a winery.nnSome of the staff weren't wearing masks and the staff that had masks on, had them tucked under their chins. At one point, we overheard the owner say to one of the staff that they didn't need to use the cleaning solution to clean the tables outside. That they should just wipe them down instead. I am a healthcare worker and have seen first-hand the toll that this infection can do to a person. Infection control aside, that is basic knowledge covered in the course required to open a business serving food and drinks.nnIn the wake of this pandemic, cleanliness and extra precautions are very important to me when I visit an establishment and hearing that was enough. We won't be coming here again and instead, would rather take our business to one of the many out there taking extra precautions to protect their patrons. Gave 2 stars because we enjoyed the wine, otherwise, I'd give only 1.
