I purchased a Turkey Senator and I was very happy with the sandwich overall. My SO got a pastrami sandwich and she gave me a bite... delicious. Both were maybe a little too salty, but what are you gonna do?

It's not the same at all. My reuben was LOUSY. I remember going to Golda Meir School, and my dad would pick me up and take us there, and the sandwiches were AMAZING. I could literally eat two! I moved to AZ about ten year's ago, come back to visit and the sandwich with potato salad was nasty. The bread they use now is cheap too. You can find better bread at Kroger. I am so disappointed. They should just close. This was a staple in the city of Milwaukee, and it literally went down the drain. I heard the inside is ghetto now. Rap music blasting. Sad. I feel bad for the people who go back excited for a taste of nostalgia. You won't get it here.

The customer service is poor. I placed and order on my lunch break. Made it back to work and they gave me a sandwich on the wrong bread, no cheese, didn’t toast it, even though I paid for that. I called and the female who answered laughed and said my bad, if you return the sandwhich we can make you a new one. I said well I’m working, and came in on my lunch. Her reply there’s nothing I can do for you. I asked for a supervisor and she told him what happened and then said I told her it was nothing we could do without having the sandwhich returned. He got on the phone and asked what can I do for you. I told him I don’t get off work until 5pm. I came on my lunch and this is not what I ordered. He said ok well bring it back after work will make it over. That’s it that’s all. No apology from Bernard because I asked his name I could not believe he was placing blame after they made the wrong order. The place is trash and the management is the reasoning.

The Jake's corned beef we loved back in the day is nothing but pure dried up corned beef! Back in the day folks would wait 2-3 hours for a sandwich that's how good they were. Now little meat plus they use cheap bread nowadays!! The atmosphere is ghetto playing rap music I don't know why Jake's just don't close and go out with dignity.
