The guy in front of the store was super nice and patient. Great customer service. But the prices were pretty expensive for it being a family dollar. Some of the things were more expensive than walmart prices. Which is surprising because you'd think that a family dollar would be cheaper than walmart.

Have had very poor service at this establishment recently, and no doubt with new staff this will only continue. I was shopping at the family dollar at 92nd &greenfield, was in there for several minutes gathering food for my family and medicine, when I was suddenly verbally assaulted by a short white female employee with a long brown braid and no mask. She said I was not allowed in the store dressed as I was and not allowed to have a backpack and it had to be behind the counter or I could not shoo. I have been shopping there for years (including with my purse which is tiny and has shoulder straps), I have not been informed of the new law, nor is there signs on the door. I have severe medical conditions and cannot wear a regular purse because it aggravates my degenerating muscle tissue (I have an obvious hunch as well as a stiff staggering walk and even limp when I hurt enough)- and I still have ptsd from a robbery and don’t like leaving my things out of reach. I informed her of this, but she said she didn’t care, I couldn’t shop with my purse as it resembled a backpack. I opted to just dump my items and leave as she was horribly rude and even chased me. I don’t feel secure shopping there anymore

I dont know what happened to this store but it went down fast. I went in here on Friday 8/21 and they have a new cashier guy I specifically told him that he rung up 2 items twice he was so rude and argued with me up and down that he deleted the items he rung up twice and even turned his screen around to show me. He did delete 1 of the items he rung up twice but not the other item and thats what I was trying to explain to him but he wouldnt let me get a word in. He said nothing to me the whole rest of the transaction not even have a nice day. I looked at my receipt before I left the store and as I thought I was charged for 2 toothpastes not 1 but I didnt go back to complain because it was only $1 so I didnt want to be petty but it was the prinicple behind it dont make me look stupid when I knew you what you did.
