I have tried a lot of the packaged meal kits -- Blue Apron, Sun Basket, Purple Carrot, and Hello Fresh -- but the one I have decided to stay with is Miltown Eats. It is both like and not like the others.nnIt is like the others in that I get a great selection of recipes (including vegetarian options), the food is delivered fresh, and it is easy to make.nnIt is not like the others in that I get food delivered from across town (instead of across the country); the packaging is minimal (and I send it back to be reused each week); the fresh food I get is also locally sourced, providing Wisconsin jobs; and Miltown Eats recipes are amazing!nnI am not a vegetarian, but I have been choosing more and more vegetarian meals just because they are so darn tasty. I have enjoyed the extra gifts I get for being a longer-term member. I also love the marketplace extras I can get like locally sourced nuts, meats, and chocolate.nnI 100% endorse Miltown Eats for their value, customer service, and tastiness.

I LOVE MILTOWN EATS! I've done a few meal delivery services and have had two problems that Miltown eats solves. 1: the waste. Other companies send your food in box with a lot of packaging and ice packs and there is just so much waste. Miltown eats is local so they can deliver it in a tote that, along with the ice packs, is returnable--I just leave it on my porch on delivery day. 2.. I have food allergies and have not always been able to choose meals that did not contain the foods I am allergic to so I would have to leave ingredients out or purchase additional ingredients make substitutions on my own. Miltown eats has these ingredients flagged on my account and they make the substitutions for me (they even purchase one ingredient for special for me). They really go above and beyond to make this as easy as a meal delivery service is supposed to be. And the food is delicious.

Started using Miltown eats a few weeks ago and have been so impressed! We liked doing the home chef meals from pick and save but had stopped. A friend recommended Miltown eats and I'm so glad she did! The kit drop off is so easy, it's nice that they reuse the bags, and the food is SO GOOD. We try to get things we normally wouldn't make and haven't been disappointed yet! Our favorites so far were the beef moussaka and the drunken noodles!

Found Miltown Eats when thinking about doing CSA share again but looking for a better fit for my busy work schedule. Meals are delicious and reasonable for weeknights. So far, we have been very happy with the menu options and quality products. I love the idea of supporting local business owners and farmers! Portion sizes are a good value for the price and I actually have leftovers vs a certain meal kit service I tried in the past. Recipes are interesting but not too complicated. The app is easy to use and overall I am very pleased with Miltown Eats, definitely recommend!

I've been tempted, but resisted meal-kit companies until Milwaukee's very own Miltown Eats came along. Wonderful fresh/organic ingredients locally sourced as much as possible. Nice variety of recipes with substitutions offered. Very reliable, communicative & genuinely cares about their clients.
