The sites are good mostly level. They have playgrounds and entertainment for kids. The dogs have a small run for them to be off leash. There is easy access to trails right behind the park. These are mostly hiking trails although you can bike them if you're pretty good. I will come again but ask for a site farther from the road.
We stayed here for 5 nights. The campground is in the middle of everything. Some of the back-in RV areas bumped up next to a neighborhood housing area. We were along the back-side or far end where the nature trails are. This was a wonderful location. We paid for a premium spot. Some of the camp areas looked quite large. I would stay again.
Camp sites are awesome feels like being in a national park, proximity to the city is great but you still feel out in nature. Sites are ample overall I like the facility and what it has to offer to campers. However it always comes down to the people they're just not as hospitable as other KOA's that we've stayed at. They're not bad just didn't feel welcome when we arrived nor since we've had questions about things here. Would still recommend to anyone
One night stay in the Waptuki teepee the smaller size one. Perfect night skies w a trillion stars in the sky... compliments of KOA? Maybe, great area close to freeway. We visited Walnut Canyon National Monument only 18 minute away and Sedona about 1/2 hr away... very welcoming and friendly staff... I’m sure there were smile under those masks! Clean facilities. Trails behind the park leading to Mt.Eldon. We really enjoyed our short stay there.
Nice weather and friendly staff. This a older park and very narrow streets. The sites are long but not very wide. Our 40 ft coach made it in and out but with out a fee choice words. For smaller rigs it's a really nice place. Big rig not so much. There are a few spots that would work better but doubt we will.stay again.
