Okay facility but deceitful business practices. I tried to cancel over the phone on a month to month plan. Due to COVID they confirmed there was no charging. I made it apparent I did not want the policy charging again ,and I moved from La Crosse in early March 2020 (5 months ago). They never explained the cancellation form and now bring it up for the first time after noticing these charges as they just reopened. Standing behind policies that are intentionally left out of discussions after they get another month out of me is not the right way to operate despite being common for the fitness industry.
Anytime fitness is the best gym I've ever been to great equipment and monthly rates.
I canceled my membership and while I was canceling not one of the three employees I was in the room with told me, “you’re going to be charged $64 for our maintenance fee and we are going to charge you another months membership.” I raved about them for the three years I’ve been there, paid the same rate, $44, the whole time, and now am being charged for another month when I don’t even go there anymore. When I tried to give the key fob back they should’ve said, “you’ll have it for another month” not, “we don’t need that, you can just keep it” Everyone should just sign up at Planet Fitness...no commitment/ cancellation fees.
