Elementary Schools:
Poor staff and poor communication. An entire school system built off of complacency. The no tolerance policy on bullying only applies to your child if your child sits completely silent throughout the entire ordeal; otherwise the superintendent thinks it's warranted. A direct quote from the superintendent "I find that there have been occasions when your son was annoying other students on the bus and making inappropriate comments to the point that eventually these students would say something back to him." The "saying something back" was my seven year old being physically assaulted by a group of sixth graders.
Limited (or incompetent)staff allows for safety issues to occur time and time again. Another direct quote from the superintendent: "I find that your son did slip away and begin walking home and thankfully, returned to school and was safe - this is something that all schools have tightened up on and we hope it does not happen again." My son did not "slip away" he was refused entry onto the bus and there was no staff to retrieve him so he began walking home.
They have nice teacher there
