Welcome to Taliesin! This is one of the best places to visit and learn about the life of Frank Lloyd Wright, both personal and professional. It is located about 30 minutes West of Madison, WI, and 2.5 hours from Chicago, IL. There are a variety of tours offered at Taliesin. We went on the Taliesin House 2-hour tour. The tour guide, Linda, was very engaging and knowledgeable about Frank Lloyd Wright’s professional achievements and intricacies in his personal life. By walking from one room to another, it was amazing to “touch” and feel the environment the great architect had lived in. There was so much curiosity around every corner. The architectural element simplicity had blended beautifully with the surrounding nature view as well as the artifacts inside and carefully designed interior. Time went by so quickly. Come and visit Taliesin. Learn more about Frank Lloyd Wright’s accomplishments and have a full day of relaxation. Enjoy your visit at Taliesin!

I have not toured yet but I must comment on the best customer service I have encountered in a very long time! Recently I booked tours. Then realized we were not physically prepared for 4 hours up and down hillside. They quickly and politely changed the tours for me. Then a week later I had to cancel my trip due to Covid-19. Again I received the most efficient caring assistance. Thank you so very much, Amy!

It is nice and interesting place to visit. The house looks cozy and welcoming. I like how the starlight lines mixed with Japanese style windows and door gates.

It is so sad to see this once beautiful historical home in such poor repair. It rained when we visited. There was leaking occurring in the house. One look at the roof, and it was obvious why. The roof is pulling away from the chimneys. Shingles need replacing. The preservation committee needs to raise funds to address the repairs. This house won't be worth a visit in the near future. The home has been neglected for some time based on the damaged that can be seen.nnOur guide was excellent which helped some.

Expensive! Worth it? Historical, yes. I realize the place is 100 yrs old. But it's needs some reconditioning. I feel they are letting us pay for all of the upkeep. But interesting.
