Good time, about as crowded as you'd expect on labor day weekend

I have been going to governor dodge state park since I was a kid. Beautiful park and lakes. Love seeing the people taking their horses on trail rides. The park is well taken care of. I love this park. Lots of trails. Thank you!

The park has plenty of hiking trails. One day we hiked for 15 miles around the perimeter. The trails are diverse, and offer some shade when the sun gets hot. We saw a number of deer and lots of turkeys. A very nice park.

What a great place! We absolutely loved how huge and beautiful this state park is! The campsites are fairly large and a lot of them have pretty great privacy with all the surrounding trees. There are a lot of awesome trails. The Cave trail is a lot of fun, but the cave is closed for entry due to COVID (bummer!!). There are a lot of great fishing places hidden all over as well. This was my first time camping in a state park, so the bathrooms and showers are a little gross, but I guess that’s the difference between a regular touristy campground and state park campsite (At least they have them!). Super fun time and would love to go back!
