What a memory. Used to visit a lock and dam with dad 40 years ago. Have not ben up close to one since then. Nothing special about a slow moving barge that takes an hour to go from one level of the river to the other... but the memories of my dad made this visit worth it!!! Every child should visit to learn how things move around the country.
Very nice place to checkout. We didn't see the locks work but we enjoyed it anyway. It's worth the stop. Have a good time.
The lock had been a place I've been going to since I was just a kid. It's cool watching the barge's go through
Super cool to watch! Will definitely be stopping again when we are in the area.
When in Dubuque- You have to stop by and watch the lock and dam work. Very cool.
