A place where Duluth's history first happen. This old light house. A great walk on Park Point will take you there.
It's honestly a shame that there isn't more attention and love given to this historical site! It was Minnesota's FIRST lighthouse! And the zero-point for surveying Lake Superior! Yet there's no signage, no preservation at all aside from a chain link fence and over grown brush. It's definitely continuing to erode, too. Just a bummer for how significant it is to MN history. A hidden gem! And it's nearby an old depot building and outhouse. All pretty neat!

Nice walk with the dogs to lighthouse and to superior boat entry
Great little hike on convenient island in Lake Superior.
