This is a public accessible site located between private property and the USCGS. There's shouldn't be any less than 5 stars for this place, because it promises nothing. The lighthouse on the way in is a good photo. The walk out to the red lighthouse can be slippery and wet. So be prepared. My wife had her back turned as a boat was coming into the straight. It's wake splashed up on her and traveled down the walkway catching others running to get away. Ahh, highlights of laughter. The water was nice and clear. Can't wait to go back in winter.

This is one of my favorite views in Door County. It is so peaceful to just watch and listen to the waves. The property also features my favorite “buckle up for safety” sign that can be seen as you’re walking back from the pier to the parking lot.

Fun place to shoot sunrise but watch out for the waves.

Beautifully set along the north side of the Sturgeon Bay shipping canal where fisherman to giant lake ships pass through from Lake Michigan to Sturgeon Bay and on to the bay of Green Bay. Small unpaved parking lot and then a portion of a driveway for public daytime only access. Gets very icy once late fall comes so crampons are highly recommended.
