Amazing place!! There is a lakeside view and two campfires outside, which is amazing.
Came here 3 or 4 times as a Lawrence University student in the early 2000s. It's a lovely place with rooms that are dormitory-style but very comfortable, a huge common room, and grounds which include the lakefront and the forest. You can spend quality time with your classmates and profs or sneak off to relax as you wish. The food was very good every time I was there.nnIf you're a student they make you help set the table, wash up, serve food (in rotation) and clean your room when you leave which I think is a good way to keep the number of staff down and make some kids a bit more responsible.
This is a beautiful retreat center. There is over a mile of lake shore, and woods with trails for hiking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Peacefulness is the most descriptive word.
Secluded
We came here to see Door Shakespeare, and it was extremely awesome. I would recommend this to everyone, whether a Shakespeare fan or not.......these guys are great!
