I hired Sarah when my lawyer backed out the day before my final divorce. She had 3 weeks to review my case and get things in order and she did it with flying colors!!nShe will fight for everything you need and want and she’s so good.nShe is very knowledgeable and will fight for you.nI will definitely be passing her name on to whomever needs a divorce lawyer.

My biggest piece of advice when determining if you want to work with Sarah DeKraay as your lawyer is knowing what you're up against. Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable about divorce law, is very professional as well as organized and detail-oriented. However, my ex employed a lawyer from Cordell & Cordell, who is apparently knowing for playing a bit dirty in the divorce process (i.e. always filing a restraining order so the other person is kicked out of the marital home) and is overall employs a very aggressive approach. I'm not sure Sarah is the best person to go head-to-head with another lawyer like this. I certainly think Sarah could have been proactive at times, as it seemed we were constantly on the defense responding to the other side, rather than being proactive and being one step ahead of the other side. It never seemed as if we had the upper hand throughout the entire divorce process. I paid Sarah tens of thousands of dollars for my divorce. However, I reached out to her with one (ONE!) question have the divorce was finalized and she was no longer representing me, and I ever even got the courtesy of a reply email or phone call back. Even if she had to bill me, the fact that she couldn't even be bothered to respond is quite unprofessional. Also, Sarah told me many times that I wouldn't' be charged for this call or that email, but that wasn't the case. Lastly, she told me that we could negotiate the remaining $18,000 I owed, but later that day when my divorce was finalized, she just sent me a bill for $18,000. More follow through on things you say, especially when it comes to billing, is needed.

Attorney Sarah DeKraay helped me tremendously through my divorce. This was my first divorce and I was terrified but thanks to her excellent representation and constant support and assistance I got a great result. She was in my corner the whole time and she always called me back and answered my questions. I endorse her as a great attorney.

I hired Sarah to represent me in my contentious and ugly divorce with an abusive ex spouse. Sarah did a fantastic job responding to the other attorney and responded professionally. She spent extra time with me and came in on Saturdays to meet with me to prepare for the court hearings. She responded to all of my emails and phone calls in a timely manner and always kept me informed. I thought my ex was hiding money and Sarah made sure that he disclosed all of the taxes, credit card statements and his bank accounts. She hired an expert that helped us track down all my ex spouse's money that he spent on his girlfriends. It was a contentious divorce trial, but it was worth the battle and I have primary placement of our three children and receive support that allows me to meet my expenses each month. I recommend Sarah if you are looking for an ethical and hard working attorney.
