I got several automated calls from the pharmacy saying that there was an insurance issue. No description of the issue, just saying to call Walgreens if my insurance needed to be updated, which it doesn't. I then called multiple times and was on hold for 30+ minutes each time. It was ridiculous. I finally had to call the corporate number to get the simple answer that the prescription was being filled too soon, and my insurance wouldn't cover it. Please hire more people if you're unable to help customers in a timely matter, especially when it comes to prescriptions.
Sat at the pharmacy drive-thru window for 20 minutes. We only saw one staff member, who made direct eye contact with my husband several times and then continued to ignore us. There was no one in line at the counter for the majority of the time that we sat there.
Nice big Walgreens in Fitchburg!
Mohammed behind the pharmacy counter is EXCELLENT!! He takes the time to ask questions to be sure you know what you are getting medication wise, and explain and answer any questions you have. I honestly have never felt like a pharmacist cared or knew what he was talking about so much in my life. And he cared. It was the best experience I’ve ever had at a pharmacy. Thank you, Mohammed, you made my night so much better.
This Walgreens (6601 McKee Road, Madison, WI) is very clean and the people are super friendly and helpful. The pharmacists are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Pharmacy has a drive thru window. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this location.
