Must See! Alligator Alley is a blast and a steal of a deal compared to a lot of the places nearby. You'll be given a few options on what and how you can feed different reptiles throughout the exhibits. We recommend the center main tank to feed due to being able to assist with dropping the food into the tank. The outer ring of tanks allows for more of a spectator role if you choose to feed them. I would also HIGHLY recommend getting a rat or a mouse and dropping it in the center tank where there are no gators, essentially open waters, and enjoy what ensues. Have your video camera ready and rolling! They also offer an option for a picture or two taken with their house gator. It was extremely docile and laid very still throughout our contact time. With the picture that they give you (5x7, I think); its placed in a cute keepsake style display frame. Do yourself a favor and make a visit here. We went two days in a row! Worth it!
Its not a huge place, but they have lots of different reptiles and its really cool and fun to see. We did feed the gator, which was definitely entertaining, but depending on if you pick live bait or not, prepare to be a little sad for the rat. The two employees working there were very nice and professional. Plus, they had a dog behind the counter who was the cutest boy!
The prices are reasonable. May be a little high for some but you're in the Wisconsin Dells and it's worth it. The staff is extremely important and friendly. This wasn't our first time here so we really didn't have any questions other than when it came to feeding the animals. Yes the animals are fed and right in front of you. If you have a weak stomach look away. The live animals are fed by the staff and you get to feed the raw meat. Take your time in there and learn about these awesome animals. Again, having gone there over the past 12+ years, from what I can tell is these animals are REALLY REALLY WELL taken care of. Maybe not the mice and rats that get devoured live but that's the circle of life. It's not a huge place which is why you can take your time. We were also invited to come back the next day at no extra cost. You can purchase a variety of live animals too. Pythons, lizards, even tarantulas. They have toys for sale too as well as an opportunity to take photos with some of the animals. We'll definitely return as we usually have when going up there!!!!!
Smaller than expected. Its fun getting to feed the animals. Does cost extra to get the food. Would be nice if the gators were in the open rather than a aquarium. Still one of the cheaper attractions however. Kids had a blast.
