Phoenix Day School For the Deaf

My wife worked here for 2 years. There is more gossip and bullying among the staff members than the high school girls. If you are considering working here look elsewhere. (Especially Courtney who cares more about her social status than the teachers she manages)

PDSD is a wonderful school with an amazing principal who has devoted so much of herself to making that school a wonderful place for its students and families. Courtney is truly one of the most selfless people I know. I taught at PDSD before deciding to stay home with my children but would go back in a heartbeat because of how much I love the staff, students and especially Courtney. The review stating that Courtney is too into her social status is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Courtney is the farthest thing from that. She is professional, caring and dedicated to PDSD. She expects the same from her staff and will hold them accountable. A staff member who leaves in the middle of the year without any concern for his/her students doesn’t belong in the field of teaching and it is a blessing for everyone to no longer be working at PDSD. PDSD is a wonderful community fostering growth and learning for the students who attend. Thank you Courtney for your dedication to the school and to your staff and students. There is no one who could run that school as efficientely, effectively and with more class than you!

I was driving down 19th Avenue my car started to overheat they're doing construction on 19th Avenue so I was stuck in traffic of course this is not good for overheating car so I pulled in to the parking lot of the school I'm a heart patient I've had 8 heart attacks I have nine stance my father lives 1 mile from the school I walked to my father as my cell phone was dead and had no charger so I walked to my fathers house and my father brought me back to the car at this time the car has cooled Down security on campus had a very bad attitude I tried to explain to him that I had to move the car out of the flow of traffic as I was told by law enforcement. .. He then said you have to take this car off of my property I asked him if he owned the parking lot he did Percy to say yes he does I told him I'm taking it people of the property please give me a minute the teachers and faculty they asked if I had anyone with me if I was by myself if I was OK if I needed help the security guard aggressively told me again move your car or I will have it towed I then told him go ahead and by the way call the police and have me arrested for parking the car in your parking lot he laughed and said he doesn't need to call the police if he has arresting authority I laughed at him and told him you are you pretend cop and you have as much authority to arrest somebody as I do. Its called a citizens arrest and then I told him go ahead arrest me ......bottom line he did not arrest me and my car did not get towed.. But I have to say for security guard he was really short I'm guessing he has Napoleon syndrome that's why he was so upset he never sees any action how quiet is it at a deaf school. he did not need to be so aggressive aggravating upsetting uncompassionate and not understanding he was a jerk...

My grandson goes here the teachers are rude .he was getting bullied the whole time he went there i contacted the school and nothing was done .
