These are the most beautiful tiny cabins in the world. They have mastered the design and craftsmanship. Every inch of there home is well thought out. They are very easy to work with to help you customize your home so it fits your life style. Dan is a very nice guy who really cares about his customers and the build of there homes. If you are not in the market to purchase a escape cabin I would recommend you stay inside one of there units that you can find on Airbnb when you get a chance. You would have an amazing time inside there cabin.

Scary stories from actual buyers should make you run from this place. Don’t be fooled by the 5-Star reviews from non buyers. This company has no business building tiny homes. They use the wrong eqiupment and don’t know what they are doing, literally.nLook for reviews from actual buyers, not tire kickers!!

What I wish I had known before buying a tiny home from Escape Traveler, Rice Lake, Wisconsin:nHere are my experiences of buying Escape Traveler’s ONE model and what I wish I had known before choosing to take out a loan to make the ONE my primary home.nn1.tThe heater they install may NOT be the appropriate size for your home or the climate you live in. They also may have improperly installed the heater, not the correct distance from the external wall, causing the exhaust pipe to not fit tightly enough to keep carbon monoxide from leaking into your home. The improper size will likely cause it to malfunction and stop working, leaving you ALIVE but without heat. When you ask to have Escape pay for your repairs and the new appropriately sized heater, they will deny your request.n2.tThe Escape employee who delivers your home may not have the necessary supplies to set up your home safely. Such as wide, flat boards for the jacks to rest on. You will likely want to set up other cribbing under the corners if you live in a windy spot. My house tipped in a wind storm a few days after being delivered. A jack was bent. Luckily, I was able to shore up stability with cribbing and haven’t had issues since. When you ask to have the jack repaired/replaced, Escape will deny your request.n3.tYour shower may arrive not working due to a defective part, which indicates that they did not run the systems before delivery as they claim to do because they would have known the shower did not work. When you ask Escape Traveler for reimbursement for the repair, they will deny your request.n4.tOnce you have your shower fixed at your own expense, you will learn that Escape not running heat to your bathroom will cause the pipes that run behind the fridge to the bathroom along an external wall to freeze. Leaving you without a shower and the potential for burst pipes in the future.n5.tThe water tank will bow out over time and cause the wall around the staircase to separate from the wall. This turned out not to be structurally a safety issue but did cause a gap, I haven’t been able to close, between my house and the outside elements. At this point, I gave up asking Escape to pay to fix things.n6.tYou may not be able to live in your home full-time and need to find alternative plans for the wintertime. Where I live (which is a similar climate to where Escape is located) that will be 4 to 5 months out of the year.nIf you plan to live in a mild climate, plugged into the grid, and parked on a concrete slab you may be happy with a purchase from this company.nIf I were doing it again, I absolutely wouldn’t buy my tiny house from Escape. I found all their good will during the sales process disappeared when it came to support, which they claimed they would offer when selling me my home. I experienced numerous problems ranging in severity due to the house being poorly designed and built- including the real possibility of death from carbon monoxide poisoning emitted by a mis-installed heating unit. My many conversations with Escape left me seeking legal advice just trying to get help in making my home safe and live-able. The support was largely un-helpful, condescending, frustrating and just plain awful.
